Course Specific Information

Each participant MUST be entered separately. 

This course is limited to 8 years old and above.

The cost is $165 for the first family member, and $110 for each additional family member.

For families please use the discount code "FAMILYDISCOUNT" as you register any extra members of your family.

Please note that sailing is a physical sport, to ensure the safety of all participants, it is required that participants should be able to swim unaided, fully clothed for about 100m, as well as be able to pull themselves out of the water into a boat.

Course Overview
This course combines Start Sailing 1 and 2 together.

Water confident.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 1 And Start Sailing 2 completion certificate. 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
